Valentine's Day

Valentine's Day is the perfect holiday to do some super girly manis that you wouldn't normally do.
A few weeks ago, I posted a Valentine's Day watermarble mani, but I have 3 more festive manis for you. If you're following me on Instagram, you've probably already seen them. There are some quick video tutorials on my instagram as well.

Frozen

My littlest dude is incredibly obsessed with Elsa and everything Frozen. He watches YouTube videos every day. He sings and dances while pretending to be Elsa. So, I had to create these pretty Frozen Elsa nails to show him.

Black & White

I recently had a horrible experience with the Pueen Encore plates. My husband surprised me with a set back in July and I was so excited for them. People were raving about these gorgeous plates. They were beautiful; however, my images would not pick up. I thought it might be user error so I read the reviews on Amazon. It seemed like others were having the same problem. I tried all different types of scrapers, stampers, nail polishes, stamping polishes, pressure and basically everything I could think of but nothing worked. Some images would pick up bits and pieces but some wouldn't pick up anything.

Glittery Mermaid

I am in love with these right now! The extra sparkle from the glitter really pulls the look together.

Back To School Plaid

About a month ago I was chosen to be one of the few brand reps for Poppy nail polishPoppy is an indie nail polish company dedicated to the color and health of your nails and is run by mompreneur, Tiffany Barry. Poppy nail polishes are all 5-free (meaning they do not contain dibutyl phthalate (DBP), toluene, formaldehyde, formaldehyde resin, or camphor), cruelty-free, and they're vegan!

Throwback to the 90s

Since today is Thursday, I decided to throw it back to the '90s. I had wanted to try the dry brush technique for a while. It resulted in a pastel paint splatter look. To spice it up, I added hot pink triangles. I thought they looked very 90s but according to my husband they look Mayan. My nails remind me a lot of the fashion from one of my personal favorite 90s shows, Saved by the Bell. Was anyone else super envious of Kelly Kapowski's clothes?

Red, Gold, and Blue

In my attempt to create nautical nails, I created 4th of July nails instead. So, this is kind of a fail.

Stamping Jelly

This mani reminds me of Barbie circa the 90s. Remember when Barbie was all about pink, butterflies, and flowers?

Black, White, and Silver

I've been playing around with different looks lately so today I decided to go for an edgier look. It's very different from my usual style but I kind of like it.

Mermaid Nails

Mermaid nails inspired by Elleandish

I applied 2 coats of Essie Mint Candy Apple for my base color.
The gradient was created with Essie Mint Candy Apple, Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Blue Me Away!, and Essie Aruba Blue.
Each nail was stamped with Mash plate #39 and Essie After School Boy Blazer.
I applied a very thin layer of Gwen Stefani O.P.I In True Stefani Fashion for a glittery touch.

Galaxy Nails

The last time I did galaxy nails was back in October. It didn't turn out that great. I found a better tutorial this time to make this manicure much easier to achieve.

I applied 2 coats of Essie After School Boy Blazer to all my nails. Using a make up sponge I created my nebula with Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Blue Me Away! and Revlon Parfumerie African Tea Rose.
For my middle finger, I stamped Saturn using Mash plate #34 and Essie Blanc.
I applied a thin coat of Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Disco Ball to all my nails for that extra starry look.

Clearly Spotted

This was a bit of a fail.

Pinky, middle, and index fingers each have 2 coats of Essie Blanc. I applied Maybelline Color Show Polka Dots Clearly Spotted. It looks like an Oreo milkshake.
Ring and thumb each have 2 coats of Essie Licorice. I stamped a polka dot pattern using Mash plate #48 with Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Golden-I. It didn't turn out well. I covered it up with Maybelline Color Show Polka Dots Clearly Spotted.

Mint & Silver Stamping

Nail stamping fun and easy to do. It's great for people who aren't ambidextrous, like me.

I applied 3 coats of O.P.I Gargantuan Green Grapes and 1 coat of Essie Good To Go top coat. I let my nails dry completely before stamping with Mash plate #42 with Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Silver Sweep.
